Terms and Conditions
The promoter of this competition is Skyky Cultural Publishers Ltd. a company incorporated under the laws of Canada.
Information on how to enter form part of the conditions of entry (the Terms of Participation).
Cancellation Policy
1.0 All Registration Fees are non-refundable
1.1 By submitting your registration and paying the registration fee, you acknowledge that you have fully read, understood, and agreed to Skyky’s refund and no cancellation policy.
Eligibility:
2.0 Entry is open to all students from any country or nationalities. Students must be 17 or under at the time of entry and have not started their university studies.
2.1. We may ask for proof of identity/age to confirm eligibility to participate
2.2 Participants can only enter once
2.3 The entry deadline is February 10th, 11:59 pm EST, late entries are not permitted except for at the discretion of Skyky.
2.4 Essays must be 1500 words or less, essays that exceed this length will not be counted towards the grading.
2.5 All applicants should review these terms and conditions with a parent or guardian. This contest requires full parental consent for entry. If we learn that the information we’ve collected is given without parental consent, we will delete it as soon as possible.
Registration
3.0 The registration fee must be paid via our online payment system (Credit or iDeal) at the time of registration.
3.01 The full registration fee is $20 CAD
3.1 Registration into this competition constitutes acceptance of all Terms and Conditions including the Privacy Policy. Skyky Cultural Publishers reserves the right to amend all terms of conditions and the privacy policy without any notice and at its sole discretion
3.11 Correspondence regarding this competition will be through the email addresses entered during the registration process.
Competition Disqualification
4.0 If there is reasonable doubt of interference or this competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, Skyky reserves the right at its discretion to the fullest extent permitted by law a) to disqualify any participant; or b) subject to the laws of Canada’s regulatory bodies, to modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the Contest.
Limitation of liability
5.0 In no event shall Skyky’s agents, employees, or representatives be liable for damages of any kind, specifically personal injury (including negligence), loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) suffered; whether direct, indirect, special or consequential arising out of your use and reliance on our Website, content, and promotional materials. These also include: a) any entry/prize claim that is late, altered, unclaimed, damaged, misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Skyky’s employees, b) any technical difficulties (whether it is under Skyky’s control or not), c) any theft, third party interference, unauthorized access, d) any variation to the prizes (monetary or opportunities), e) the use of the prizes f) any tax liability incurred by any of the participants, g) the acts, omissions, or conduct of any third-party user of the Website, h) any advertise or sponsor of the website and Sykyky (“third-party”), i) any disputes on the grading criteria, plagiarism, or anything related to the essay itself.
5.1 These limitations shall apply even if Skyky’s agents/employees/representatives knew or ought to have known the possibilities of such damages.
Submission Criteria/Competition Rules
6.0 Skyky holds absolute discretion to disqualify any participant that does not adhere to our submission criteria, specifically a) Times New Roman font b) double-spaced c) pdf format.
6.1 Each participant can only submit
Plagiarism
7.0 Participants are responsible for checking their own work and ensuring that there is no plagiarism.
7.1 Any detection of plagiarism will result in an automatic disqualification
7.1.2 Participants can appeal their case by sending a email; however, the ultimate decision lies at Skyky’s discretion
Round of the competition (Finalists, Runner-ups, Winners)
8.0 There will be three rounds of competition, a) the first round where all participants submit their work b) the second round entitled “finalists” where 20 works are chosen to be a finalist c) the selection of first, second, and runner-up prizes
Prizes
9.0 Skyky holds absolute discretion to alter, change, or cancel any prize without notifying the participants.
9.1 If participants wish to be exempted from any of the prizes, they must contact Skyky before submission.
9.2 The prizes are:
9.2.1 First Prize: Full scholarship to any of Skyky’s academic camps (worth $6000 CAD or more), commendation/certificate, featured on Skyky’s platform (chosen at Skyky’s discretion)
9.2.2 Second Prize: Partial scholarship to any of Skyky’s academic camps (50% of the total price of the camp), commendation/certificate, featured on Skyky’s platform (chosen at Skyky’s discretion)
9.2.3 Runner-ups: Commendation/certificate, featured on Skyky’s platform (chosen at Skyky’s discretion)
9.3 There will only be a) One first prize winner b) One second prize winner c) A maximum of five runner-ups
9.3.1 These numbers can alter at Skyky’s discretion
9.3.2 If there are more than one first or second prize winner, the prizes can be altered at Skyky’s discretion
9.4 All prizes must be claimed by March 31st, 2025 latest
9.5 If you got this far into the terms and conditions and noticed this point (9.5) email us at SkykySupport@skykypublishing.com with the precise subject heading of (YIPEEEEE!!!)- we’ll send you a digital certificate for “skilled researcher”
9.6 The “skilled researched” prize is only available to the first person who found point 9.5.
9.7 Prizes are not refundable or transferable
Intellectual Property
10.0 By participating, you acknowledge that the Promoter, its representatives, and its licensees, successors, or assigns, are granted a worldwide, irrevocable right to review, print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use your submission—along with your name, likeness, portrait, picture, voice, image, or any related information—for trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes in any media, indefinitely, without additional compensation.
Termination
11.0 Skyky at its sole discretion, may cancel or terminate any participant’s right to use or access the website, with or without notice. If terminated/canceled, the participant is no longer authorized to use any part of the Website. The restrictions imposed on participants in regards to any material downloaded from the Website or disclaimers and limitations of liabilities set forth in this agreement, shall survive the termination of this agreement. Skyky and any of its representatives and employees are not liable to any party for this termination.
Personal Data
12.0 All personal data collected in connection with the competition is subject to our Privacy Policy. We may share your personal data with corporate affiliates and other business partners. Skyky may use your personal data obtained from third party sources, to market its educational services and products. You have the right to withdraw your consent to using your personal data by contacting us at this email address: SkykySupport@skykypublishing.com

13.0 This Website and all of its content is owned by Skyky and its licensors. Any use of the Content, including modification, transmission, distribution, or any exploitation, whether in whole or in part, is prohibited without the express consent of Skyky.
Submissions
14.0 Skyky does not control the content of any user or participants’ submission of content. However, Skyky reserves the right to disclose any information to satisfy any law, regulation, or governmental request to edit, delete, refuse to post, in whole or in part any content.
14.1 Skyky also holds sole discretion to refuse or delete, any objectionable, obscene or defamatory content.
Registration
15.0 If any participant registers an account with Skyky, they must provide:
15.0.1 true, accurate, current, complete information about themselves as prompted
15.0.2 maintains and updates their information to ensure it remains true, accurate, current, and complete
15.1 If Skyky has reasonable grounds to suspect the inaccuracy of such information, Skyky has the rights to terminate any account.
